Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit runningcat.dev or contact me, why, and what rights you have. It is written in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller of your personal data is Alexey Gvozditskiy, NIP 6342994917, REGON 388765800 (the “Controller”, “I”). For any privacy matter, write to gvozditskiy@gmail.com.

2. What data I process and why

Visiting the website

The site is hosted by Vercel. When you open a page, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL and time of the request. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form and email

If you use the contact form or write to me by email, I process your name, email address, the company name (if provided) and the content of your message. I use this data to reply to you and, if you wish, to take steps before entering into a contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in replying to enquiries).

Providing data is voluntary, but without an email address I cannot reply.

3. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking technologies. Fonts are served from this website’s own server, so no data is sent to font providers.

4. Recipients

Personal data may be processed on my behalf by service providers that I use:

• Vercel Inc.: website hosting;
• Formspree, Inc.: delivering contact form submissions to my inbox;
• Google (Gmail): email.

These providers act as processors and may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In such cases the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long data is kept

• Correspondence: for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and no longer than 12 months after our last contact, unless it leads to a contract;
• If we sign a contract: for the duration of the contract and then for the period required by tax and accounting law or until any claims become time-barred;
• Hosting logs: for the short period set by the hosting provider.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these rights, email gvozditskiy@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl).

7. Automated decisions

Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

This policy may be updated when the website or the services used change. The current version is always available on this page.
